Financial Therapy
A space to understand your relationship with money and start making changes that actually stick.

If you’ve ever felt like you know what to do financially, but still find yourself
stuck in the same patterns, you’re not alone.
This work is not about more information. It’s about understanding what’s underneath your decisions, so you can move forward in a way that feels clear and sustainable.
Sessions are 50 minutes and focused on what you’re actually navigating right now.
We don’t follow a rigid structure. We start with what feels most present for you, whether that’s a specific decision, a recurring pattern, or a general sense of overwhelm.
From there, we slow things down.
We look at what’s coming up, what’s driving it, and how it’s showing up in your financial decisions. Not to analyze it endlessly, but to understand it enough to start responding differently.
As things begin to make more sense, we bring in practical steps. This might include simplifying decisions, creating structure, or identifying the next right move that feels realistic and doable.
Over time, the goal is not just to make better decisions, but to feel steadier and clearer while making them.
This work builds over time, but even a few sessions can create meaningful shifts in how you relate to money.
Everything looked perfect on the surface.
The career was moving. The family was thriving. The house was beautiful. If life were a curated feed, I was winning. But curated feeds do not show the cost of maintenance.
I was stuck in a loop of high-functioning exhaustion. Volunteering for every committee when I was already running on empty. Donating while my own bank account felt precarious. Chasing designation after designation, convinced the next set of letters would finally make me feel enough.
Then I would soothe the stress with expensive splurges, telling myself I deserved a treat.
It looked like ambition. It was survival. And the loop just kept spinning.
I eventually realized I was operating on a survival blueprint inherited from my Ukrainian roots. A lineage of women who had to over-function and overwork through famine and war just to keep the world turning. I was not just working hard. I was repeating a script that said rest is a risk and output is safety.
I kept trying to fix my life by working harder, giving more, and collecting credentials. But you cannot think your way out of a nervous system response. When we are overwhelmed, we do not rise to what we know. We fall back into what is familiar.
For me, that meant proving my worth through over-giving and over-performing, until my body firmly said enough.
I see this everywhere.
Brilliant, capable people still being driven by old stories. Some over-give and overspend to keep up appearances. Others stash away every penny, paralyzed by fear of the future, unable to enjoy what they have already built.
Both paths lead to the same place. Financial anxiety and a persistent sense of not-enoughness.
We try to fix it by working harder or tightening the budget. But we are trying to solve a soul-deep story with a spreadsheet. And it never quite balances.
It is exhausting to keep up appearances when the interior is crumbling.
I am here to help you stop financing the symptoms and start healing the why. Because until the story changes, the how will never be enough.
If any part of this feels familiar, this work is for you.
This is why I do financial wellness coaching.
It’s not about fixing you.
It’s about helping you notice the patterns and slowly begin to choose something new.
“Until we make the unconscious conscious, it will direct our lives and we will call it fate.”

What Financial Therapy Can Help With
Real change starts with awareness, not the kind that comes from your mind, but the kind that comes from your body and heart, and that only happens when you feel seen, safe and understood without judgment.
- Making choices from your own values, not comparison
- Easing fear-driven overwork or over-saving
- Naming financial anxiety before it runs the show
- Breaking cycles of overspending or financial paralysis
- Understanding why budgets may feel dreadful, and working with that resistance
- Turning money conflict into productive conversation
- Learning how your body responds to money stress, so you can create space between the trigger and your reaction
- Enjoying life now, not just “someday”
