Fee-Only Personal Wealth Planning

We provide independent, holistic wealth planning tailored to your goals, values, and life stage. Whether you’re planning for retirement, growing your wealth, or navigating life transitions, we help you make confident financial decisions that support your long-term vision.

Why Choose Us?

We don’t just create financial plans. We help people understand them, integrate them, and follow through.

Most plans fail not because the strategy is wrong, but because human behaviour is ignored. By combining financial planning with education, coaching, and psychology-informed insight, we help clients make aligned decisions, stay accountable, and build a healthier relationship with money.

This approach takes more care — and produces more durable results.

THE SAPLING PROCESS

How does it work?

1

Introductory Call

We walk you through how we work. No pressure, no pitch. You decide if it feels right.

2

Discovery Call

We go deep: your values, history with money, emotional context behind the numbers.

3

Financial Planning

Four focused sessions built around your priorities. We work together, and in between, you do meaningful work too.

4

Strategy Meeting

Before anything is finalized, we reflect before we commit. Does this still feel right? Have your priorities shifted?

5

Your Plan

A financial plan that reflects who you actually are. Implement it independently, or with our support.

6

Ongoing Relationship

Reviewed quarterly, an annual plan that adapts because life does, and is built to last.

How much does it cost?

Option A: Financial Planning Only

A one-time, comprehensive financial plan designed to provide clarity and direction.

Individual Wealth Planning

From $4,000
and up

Family Wealth Planning

From $4,750
and up

Retirement & Estate Planning

From $5,375
and up

Best suited for clients who want a standalone plan without ongoing implementation or coaching support.

Option B: Financial Planning + Integrated Wealth Management

Begins with a comprehensive financial plan (Option A), followed by a transition into our Fee-For-Service Integrated Wealth Management model for ongoing planning, coordination, and implementation through our independent portfolio management partners.

This option is typically appropriate for clients who:

  • Require ongoing coordination between financial planning and investment management
  • Value ongoing coaching and accountability to support confidence, decision-making, and long-term follow-through
  • Have more complex investment, tax, estate, or retirement income needs
  • Are retired or approaching retirement and need support managing income streams
  • Are high-net-worth or accredited investors seeking long-term guidance and accountability

Most clients ultimately choose Option B as their financial lives become more complex and they value ongoing accountability, coordination, planning, and support through both the practical and human sides of money over time.

Option C: One-Year Financial Planning & Implementation Support

A 12-month engagement that includes the full financial planning process, followed by ongoing coaching, implementation support, and accountability for the remainder of the year.

Individual Wealth Planning

From $8,500
and up

Family Wealth Planning

From $10,000
and up

Retirement & Estate Planning

From $12,500
and up

This option is ideal for clients who:

  • Want support exploring and adjusting long-standing money patterns and decision-making habits as they implement their plan
  • Are in an asset accumulation phase, or
  • Rely primarily on pensions or employer plans, or
  • Are financially sophisticated and comfortable managing investments independently, but
  • Want professional guidance and structured support to implement their plan over the course of a full year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does your process include so many meetings?

Because most financial plans fail at implementation, not design.

Spreading the planning process across multiple sessions allows space for learning, reflection, and adjustment. Clients are better able to understand their options, ask informed questions, and move forward with confidence rather than overwhelm.

Do I really need this many meetings?

Not everyone does — and that’s okay.

Our process is designed for people who want more than a quick plan or a checklist of recommendations. It’s for those who want clarity, integration, and lasting change, not just information.

Is this financial planning or coaching?

It’s financial planning, informed by behavioural finance and psychology.

All technical analysis, projections, and recommendations are included. The difference is that we take the time to ensure the plan fits who you are, not just the math.
